Office Support Professionals' Conference
1-1/2 Skill Builder Credits

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Any/all office support staff, CSR/MSRs

MORNING SESSION | Teamwork, Tools, & Solutions
Office support professionals help keep the cooperative running, often while balancing requests from several people and departments. In this interactive session, participants will explore how clear expectations, shared information, and dependable follow-through strengthen everyday teamwork.

A group challenge will bring common coordination problems to life and give participants practical approaches to use in their own offices. The morning also includes a short look at everyday AI and roundtable conversations about the questions and practices that matter most to participants. Each person will leave with ideas from peers and one specific step to try at work.

AFTERNOON SESSION | Compassion Fatigue
This workshop equips team members with tools to recognize compassion fatigue and take practical steps to prevent it. By prioritizing their own well-being, customer service professionals can maintain empathy, build resilience, and provide compassionate support during customer interactions.

Supporting customers through difficult situations can be emotionally draining. In high-stress service environments, employees regularly manage complex issues and challenging interactions. Over time, constant exposure to others' hardships can lead to compassion fatigue, a gradual decline in empathy and emotional capacity.

The most common signs of compassion fatigue are cynicism and emotional exhaustion. Employees may become detached, distrustful, drained, or less engaged in their work.

Compassion fatigue can result in:

  • Increased irritability with coworkers and customers
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Reduced job satisfaction and workplace engagement

When left unaddressed, compassion fatigue can negatively affect customer experiences, employee morale, and overall team performance.

In this course, participants will learn how to identify warning signs, strengthen their empathy skills, and build resilience through self-care and reflection practices. These techniques help reduce stress, restore compassion, and create healthier habits that support both employee well-being and exceptional customer service.
